A complete gearbox maintenance and tuning service, specifically tailored to the Tokyo Marui Recoil platform. Includes a range of upgraded components to provide a solid base for the most demanding upgrade packages.
The gearbox is tuned so it runs as smoothly, efficiently and reliably as possible while also significantly decreasing the noise generated through normal gearbox operation.
Every TM Recoil gun will benefit from the Service, no matter it's age or usage.

1 x Air-Pad Polyurethane Pad (reduces shock transfer to gearbox)
1 x New Viton O-ring (gives better air-seal and lasts longer in all weathers)
Prometheus Steel Shims (sets gear height to reduce unnecessary noise and wear)
1 x Recoil Cylinder Head (modifed to fit the Air-Pad)
1 x Set of FLT NGRS Steel Bushings
Labour:
All labour required to complete the Recoil Service is included in the price. Additional upgrade parts are available on request, the Labour cost of installing additional parts (except the gears, spring and motor, which do not require additional Labour) is £45 per hour.
What I do:
Full strip down and deep cleaning of all parts in the gearbox
Ream the bushing holes to 6mm and deburr them using a Steel Countersink
Press-fit the Prometheus 6mm Steel Bushings to ensure an exact fit with no damage to the shell
Correctly shimming the gears
Polishing the piston rails and gaps to reduce drag on the piston and remove casting marks
Correcting the 'Angle Of Engagement' between the sector gear and the piston (this increases piston life)
Correctly re-greasing the gearbox and Recoil System
Install and seal the Cylinder head against air loss
Radiusing the front of the gearbox to more evenly distribute the planar force from the piston (increases the life of the gearbox shell by lessening the ability of cracks to start)
Setting the motor height
Check for pre-engagement (if it is occurring) and advise on solutions
Cleaning the Hop unit and checking for faults
Correcting any other issues in the gearbox which will not incur extra costs: re-soldering wires, re-insulating stripped wire etc

Please note that all custom work will be added in to our queue, which is typically 3-4 weeks long.
We will email you with details about your slot; collection can be arranged any time before your slot is due.
If you would like to have your build collected, please email us with the collection date, collection address and a contact mobile number we can hand over to UPS. We'll also need the package weight and dimensions.
You will receive an email notification with your tracking details once the shipping has been booked in.
Missed collections will generally be attempted once more the following day. You can rearrange and track your collection using the UPS website.
